Aug. 13 (Bloomberg) -- China may appeal a World Trade Organization ruling that its limits on the sale of books, films and music from the U.S. are unfair.
“China will evaluate the WTO ruling, while not ruling out the possibility of appealing against that ruling,” Commerce Ministry spokesman Yao Jian said in a statement on the agency’s Web site today. The nation “regrets” the decision, Yao said.

BEIJING — A Chinese trade official said Wednesday that a U.S. complaint about China's tire exports smacks of protectionism and appealed to Washington to avoid taking steps that might harm relations.
The government of President Barack Obama is deciding what action to take after the U.S. International Trade Commission ruled in June that increased imports of Chinese tires were harming American tire producers.

EU recently pass a law EU wood and wood products regulation, which rules fines for wood products without the ability to track their origins.
This new law great impacts the exporting of wood products from regions of southern China such as Dongguan and Shun De. Higher costs will be incurred for the manufactuerers to track and document the orgins of every piece of wood used in their product being exported to EU. |

WASHINGTON (August 4, 2009) — Plastic bags from the Chinese firm of Rally Plastics Co. Ltd. that were exported to the U.S. between August 2007 and July 2008 may be levied anti-dumping duties of 17.95 percent, according to a preliminary decision by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
